HELP US MATCH A MILLION!

Join Circus Smirkus in a visionary campaign to raise $2 million and . . .

* Build a permanent home for Smirkus Camp!

* Help thousands more kids experience the dream of running away and joining the circus!

* Double financial aid to deserving children!

* Ensure the long term sustainability
of Circus Smirkus!

By creating a home for Smirkus Camp, we will provide Circus Smirkus with a strong base for future acts.

Roughly 200 additional campers annually will realize the circus dream as we expand the size and scope of our program. The additional income we receive from serving more campers will help us improve program quality, double our scholarship giving and insure our long-term sustainability. We’ll increase the camp’s diversity, offering healthy activity choices to everyone from inner city youth to at-risk and underserved children of the local area, a policy that safeguards the circus tradition of including acts from all walks of life.

Please help us deliver on our commitment to build a new camp to inspire thousands of kids from Vermont, New England and around the world to reach for their dreams.

The new camp builds a solid future with room inside for EVERYONE!

Picture this . . .
A 135-year-old traditional Vermont farmhouse, nestled on 30 acres overlooking picturesque Caspian Lake. At the edge of the rolling green fields stands a monumental post and beam barn big enough for, well . . . a circus. Growing out of the fields is a starburst array of big top tents and open air circus buildings rigged for trapeze, high wire, and silky, aerial fabrics. It’s early morning and dozens of eager young clowns, jugglers and acrobats race from the dorms, impatient to experience the magic of circus and the fun and friendships that form in a traditional Vermont camp.

You don't need to pinch yourself because this enchanted place is real! Circus Smirkus has an option to purchase this property in Greensboro, VT, only five miles from our current World Headquarters. The new Smirkus Camp combines the best of Vermont history with new construction designed to take advantage of our 23 years of camp experience.

FEATURES!

Phase 1
A stately and storied traditional Vermont farmhouse hosting the administrative offices. A newly converted commercial kitchen serving nutritious, fresh, local Vermont foods. A hundred year old post and beam barn turned great hall and dining room, preloaded with generations of stories of family celebrations. Two new camper/counselor dorms arranged in half circles reminiscent of gathering around a camp fire or sitting in sawdust ringside at the circus.

Phase 2
Winterized housing providing separate quarters for the coaches and an expanded nurse’s station and camp store. Outdoor dining porches adjacent to the great hall. An open-air balance pavilion with a firm, flat floor for novice unicyclists, newbie stilt walkers, and neophytes just learning the rolling globe.

Phase 3
An indoor performance space and locker rooms, potentially providing an activity center for both Smirkus and the local community.
