| Circus
Smirkus has long been committed to making camp
available for as many children as possible,
regardless of ability to pay.
Scholarships help families for whom payment
of the full tuition
is not possible. This program is open to all
family configurations regardless of race, religion,
or socioeconomic background.
The scholarship program is funded almost entirely
by private donations. If you know of anyone
who might like to contribute
to the fund, please
let us know.
About financial aid:
- Scholarships are awarded based on demonstrated
need and availability of funds. There are no
full scholarships. We regret that we may not
be able to meet all requests for assistance.
- The scholarship
application is
not an application
to Smirkus Camp. You must register
for camp in addition to
filling out the scholarship application. If
you cannot send the minimal deposit of $75.00
with your camp application, please contact our
office to request a waiver or extension: camp@smirkus.org
or toll-free tel 800-532-7443.
- A child must be enrolled (not on the waitlist)
at the time of the Awards Committee meeting
in order to be considered for aid.
- A copy of the applicant's most recent Federal
Income Tax Return Form (1040 or 1040A) must
be submitted with the scholarship application.
If you have any questions, email
us, or call us at 802-533-7443, ext. 23.
